Sesame chicken

Ingredients:

1chicken(about 3 1/2 lbs)
2piecesof 1/4 inch ginger
1tspsalt
1/2tsp5 spice
1tbspdark soy sauce
1/4tsppepper

For the glaze

1/4tspground ginger
1tbspsoy sauce
1tbspsesame oil
1tbsppeanut oil.

Method:

Place chicken in pot and cover with cold water, add the the root ginger, salt, spice, soy sauce and pepper.
Bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
Cool chicken in the stock, drain and cut into serving pieces (do it the Chinese way with a cleaver).
Then reassemble in the form of the chook.
Combine the glaze in a very small pot.
Heat until just boiled. Then brush it over the chicken pieces and sprinkle 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds over.
